3 days with the Zeiss 135mm f2 Apo Sonnar
« on: April 01, 2013, 10:21:21 pm »

My Zeiss 135mm f2 Apo Sonnar arrived late Friday...

I have had some time to shoot with this beauty...

The first thing i have noticed on the d800e the images look horrible on the live view screen

I use the histogram for exposure -

that being said... it was a thrill opening the box... sort of akin to looking into a treasure chest...

much beefier than the 100...

nothing added in PP except change WB and in white orchid tone curve for contrast and soft sharpening...

How are you enjoying your new Sonnar ? I would be interested in your view of the new APO.

Dave - This is a lovely lens, using this with a D800e - In the time i have actually had to shoot with this - I am thrilled - I made the purchase for colors, and accurate renditions...

pale lavender - hard to nail ...

no sharpening added - some 'clarity' and WB adjustment
