Flowers Part 2.
« on: February 21, 2013, 10:56:40 pm »

We had gloomy weather for the past few days. Taking advantage of this morning beautiful sunshine, I grabbed my camera out for a few flower shots just outside my house. Any better than my previous flower shots?

As for the 3rd photo, I did some heavy processing to darken the background.

These are better Sangay. The first one is good and the last one is good. You made fast progress.

I like the composition of the second, but it would be a better shot with a stronger, more interesting bloom.

Hi Sanggay, I too see an improvement. With practice you will get better and better, be carefull of shooting in harsh sun though- it plays havoc with the highlights and shadows. Looking forward to seeing more.

I was looking for nicer flowers that sticking up. This is the best I could find.

Thanks to the feedback from the members here. I chose early morning sun to avoid harsh lighting.

Here is another one. I was looking for a back lit flower and this was the best I found but the background was too distracting.
I had to blacken it for the flowers to stand out. Does this work?
