the Ross of Mull, Scotland
« on: January 12, 2013, 01:17:59 pm »

Last Summer we had some abysmal and some superb weather on Mull. Here some photographs of the Ross of Mull, mostly early morning light.
I have quite fallen in love with the panorama format.

#1 Fidden, sunrise at 5.00

#2 Aridhglas, view over Loch Poit na h-I

#3 Aridhglas, view over Ardmeanach

#4 Aridhglas, view to Ben More

#5 Aridghlas, another morning

#6 Uisken Bay

#7 Kintra

#8 Kintra

The first ones are very nice (#1 to #5). The quality of the light is great. The skies and the soft colors have a very calming effect.

I find that on my display, photo #6 has a bit too much contrast but I'd need to see it a properly calibrated display.

For the last two photos, I find that the light is really hard and I tend to prefer soft tones.

hi François,

Thanks for your comments. How is #6 version two for you (attached)?
The last two were taken around noon. The light is less favourable indeed. I do try to take pictures at other times too, to catch as much of the land and light as possible.

Wim ,
I definitely like your updated version better. Well, it's not always possible to shoot under the best light but, so far, you managed to get an outstanding work.

Congratulations
