Last but one, couple walking past the patterned wall is very eye catching. I wonder if a little earlier or later so the couple were away from te door would have been better, but nice use of tones and pattern.

Thanks Doc.... ;D

My thinking on that image was everything was so symmetrical that I would try and catch them in stride and in the center of the door if I could. Now whether that really works or not is another story  ;) :)

Utterly crazy but you have to keep an eye on my 15 month old grandson, he'll swipe your phone in a trice. Copying Mum & Dad :)

Two with the 1936 uncoated 5cm F1.5 Sonnar, wide-open. This lens is a few tens away from another Sonnar that I have that is coated. I believe that Zeiss pulled a few Sonnars from the regular production line to try out with the new process. Neither lens had ever been opened and cleaned when I received them. Fortunately, I have a lot of experience with dismantling and cleaning them. Totally worth it.

I have one somewhere.
There must have been a bunch of conversions. Bubbles in the glass, right?

I've done about 50 conversions, it is not hard to do. Most have bubbles in the glass. I have a 1936 and 1938 with coated optics- coating still good.

I've handled tens of lenses converted professionally when the lenses were new. The Sonnar was THE superspeed lens of the day, many Leica users had them converted. Zeiss also made a limited number of 5cm F1.5 Sonnars in Leica mount ~1933, and ~1000 or so during World War II. Some of the unfinished lenses made their way to Russia after the war, were finished as "ZK" and early Jupiter-3's. I have two 1950 J-3's with all Zeiss glass in them, and Zeiss SN's.

These are all really good, but this particular one stands out for me. Geek stuff: love the darker tones and noise texture.  :)  The woman's gaze (not to mention the other woman's shadowed gaze), in conjunction with her partner/friend's subtle facial expression and arm position, is the thing, of course.
