Neighborhood tough

Is it me, or is this guy trying to stare me down?
On a more serious note, I enjoy this sort of flower and/or insect macro shooting, but I've seen next to none of it around this forum. Is it considered too routine?

I like it.
Blown up, the impression is given that it just noticed you, and is juuuuust starting to move its head in your direction.

I think you don't see many here because they're hard to do well. Yours is good.

There was a thread for insect photos- it fizzled out though as it isn't popular here.

It requires too much patience for us. Great wildlife work, be it insects or bears, requires immense patience and determination, along with the normal skill and luck. YOU clearly have patience, skill, and luck to catch a shot like this.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your comments, and for pointing me to the insect thread. I'll try posting a few more there.
