Thanks for sharing. I like the first two very much. Did you enjoy the trip near the marble caves and quarries?

Love #2 but would like to see the shadows opened up a bit in the middle area.

#2 is fabulous, but #1 would be better if it didn't have the people I like the sign and the piping in #1.

While I too wish the shadows were more open in #2, I have a suspicion we'd see things in there that we'd prefer not to, so perhaps it's best as-is. Bury the bad stuff in the shadows

I opened up the shadows in the B&W but mostly concentrated on the atrium area to allow more light to fall from the top to the bottom.



and in the first, got rid of the people...cumbersome they were (hope they are not family  )

While opening shadows in 2. make it better I think, I'm not sure about removing people from 1.
Some life is missing now, I think.

Well, I have to print both versions and compare prints.

Look at it as a B&W and see if the people still make the scene. I really prefer this one as a B&W, much like your second in the original series. I think if the woman had been wearing a complimentary color (perhaps a light blue) to the predominate yellows in the scene (the man is wearing magenta), then I think the people would hold more interest to the scene.
