Do hasselbald V lenses work well on the H1?
« on: August 21, 2012, 06:23:37 am »

So i have a hasselblad H1,

i can get me hands on some T* lens for the older V system for a very cheap price (family member)  i know you can get an adapter to fit the body.

can anymore give me some advice, haw anyone done it? what is the quality like? I shoot still life so i don't need a fast focusing lens.

Thanks,

Luke

These lenses were made over a long period of time, some designs are over 40 years old and don't perform very well by todays standard, others are among the very best lenses ever made for any photographic application. They're all mechanically excellent and will serve your grandchildren well...

-Really excellent lenses in the line-up IMHO are: 40IF, 100mm, 180mm and the Superachromats
-Not too great are the old non-FLE Wideangles and the 160/250/350mm-Tele-lenses, IMHO
-The rest is more or less in line with the H-lenses from Fuji

I would definitely try it!

The CF 100mm T* Planar is outstanding on H series bodies.
