Anyone have an Oly OM-D and a Nikon 800/e?
« on: July 25, 2012, 01:31:12 pm »

In the process of turning over my digitals. I love my Fuji X-Pro1 and it will be my main squeeze for a while I think. But I also need some Big Fast Glass for certain things (recitals, wildlife, sports etc.)

My wife was using an Oly P3 which was a nice camera and decent in good light, but a little too imposing for her so I picked up a Sony RX-100 and she is good to go for what she does. I Still have the 25mm and 45mm fast lenses for the Oly system however and they make some very fine Big Glass that is no cheaper than anything Nikon makes. But the format appeals to me in many ways.

Don't expect the OM to match the 800 at the limits but wonder if I'm better off just going with the former. Anyone with both systems that can give me perspective would be appreciated...

Thanks in advance...

I don't have OM-D, but I can tell you that the output of Oly 45mm f/1.8 on my EPL-1/EPM-1 rivaled the Canon 5D Mark II with 24-105 L lens.
