Hi Bernard,
I have all 3 PC-E lenses from Nikon.
The 85 is the best, from then on it's downhill.
Compared to the Canon 24 MkII TS, the Nikon is regrettably the lesser one.
Nikon really has to pull out all stops for that 17PC-E
Still the 24 PC-E does the job.
I also use all three of them....
The 85mmPCE is not so good wide open but at d8 it is super ( i noticed this after using it on my d800e)
I like the 45mmPCE very much- a very good lens.
The 24mm PCE has field curvature that makes it difficult to get planar subjects sharp from corner tot corner- nevertheless a very very good optic.- sharper than the 24mm 1,4G i find.
(This field curvature is a good thing when shooting interiors)
But the mechanics of Canon are much better. Lets hope they use something like that on the 17mm ( or not tilt at all)
BTW the 14-24 is still a fantastic lesn- only very easy to get out of tune - a little bump and you can have it replaced.. ( i am on my 4th..I know..)
