Nex 7 w/ Nikon 200 f/2 First try at focus stacking
« on: April 14, 2012, 10:54:10 am »

Just playing around this morning and had to try my 200 f/2 on the new Nex 7.
Never tried shooting for focus stacking before and its not easy with this lens and camera combo.
Could probably use a few tips.
Not sure if the  focus peaking made it easier or not.  It took about a half dozen efforts and still have more then a few fuzzy spots.
About 7 feet away at 2.8 with novaflex adapter. Am thinking I could get better results with a single image.
4 images focusing only the upper portion. Did not focus the flower base and stem. (Probably should have.)
Using CS5 for the software portion of this with mixed results as well.
Oh well at least Mrs. Berg likes it which means she will more then likely get a pretty big print.
And the bokeh is nice. :)
