To own one is to love it. Good luck finding someone selling.

I have the 17 and 24 ts-e from canon and use them extensively when shooting digital. I have ordered the Nikon 800e and I am trying to prepare my arsenal. So far I have purchased a 14-24 and the Lee filter kit for it. For now I am keeping all of my canon gear. I wish Nikon had a 17 tilt shift and I'm not sure the 24 Nikon is at the same level as the canon. I will probably purchase a new one if I don't find a good deal on a used one.

There is some discussion of the merits of the 24 PC-E in the digital photography forum where someone asked for lens recommendations for a D800. To echo the remarks of others, which I fully agree with, it is a stellar lens (not just very good) other than the inability to change the relationship between tilt and shift without sending it in for service. Taking out the screws is not a problem, the issue is the short ribbon cable inside...sigh.

John,

I have one (amongst a number of Nikon f2.8 zooms) for auction on eBay UK at the moment.

The complete list is here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/brians1608/m.html?_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

I'm only shipping to the EU, so apologies if this doesn't apply to you (I couldn't figure out where you are based).
