Pelican Case Battery Company??
« on: December 24, 2011, 07:00:08 pm »

A couple of years ago, at ShootNYC there was a company there that was showing, batteries which had regular plugs (like wall socket) in pelican cases that they were selling as portable re-charge stations for I guess, battery charged lights and camera batteries and running computers etc, I know there are lots of things online about how to make your own, but there was this company that actually made them, however I can't seem to find their card or name, does anyone know what I'm talking about or a similar company? thanks,

Ah thank you, that has bothered me multiple times in the past few months and caused great mental torment when trying to find it on google, or think of the name. Thank you, and Merry Christmas, or Happy Chanukah

Here in Southern California there are a few different companies providing large Lithium Ion battery packs. LibertyPak has been building belt packs for ENG and movie cameras and now has moved into the larger 'luggable' packs.

It's very common for production companies  / cinematographers to use custom built sets for the work. There's nothing magic about one brand compared to another, typically. They all buy the cells, chargers and converters and then configure as needed.
