Has anyone used a 9900 to print on magnet sheets?

I have a feeling that magnet sheets are too thick but is someone has tried I'd like to know about it. I searched the forum data base but nothing came up.

While it may be possible to print on magnetic sheets - ink is compatible with printable magnet stock - there may be too much ferrous metal for the sheet to be transported through the printer. I sold JetMag for years when I was in the signage business and typically, it was printed on solvent printers. I think a better option is to print on adhesive-backed vinyl on your 9900 and then mount the image to magnet and trim to size. If you print the image with an appropriate RIP, you can then mount to magnetic material and contour cut on a vinyl cutter.

Thanks for the tip Randy. What would be the best adhesive backed vinyl to print with the 9900 and what sizes does it come in?

IJ Technologies is one of my favorite vinyl substrates for aqueous printers. Their DGVN is an adhesive-backed vinyl with a permanent, blockout adhesive, which is available in 17", 24", 36" 42", 44", 50" and 54", all 50' in length. It images beautifully on Epson printers and the material is water resistant. Let me know if you need additional info.
