LCC and the new Leaf Aptus GUI
« on: July 19, 2011, 03:07:37 pm »

I should be receiving my new Sinar arTec today from Sinar, I had to send it in for modification to work with the "newer" Aptus II AFI backs.
Anyways I just updated to the new GUI today with Leaf Capture 11.5.1 and I remember seeing somewhere about a new way of doing LCC.
Does anyone know where i can find the new documentation for this?
Thanks
Steven

This should help (it's not really a review as the link title implies it ) :

it works very very well on my aptus 10. the only thing i am very carefull is NOT to overexpose the white files not even a tick.
i look for to bring the exposure in between - 1 and 0 stops below zero.

Rainer,
I have been wondering if exposure makes a difference in the white files since the RAW data is linear (so long as no pixels are blown out).  I saw in the article that they suggest to do the exposure in the range of -.8 to +.4 stops but sometimes this is inconvenient or not possible without changing the aperture settings.     What problems do you encounter when the exposure of the white is over that - say +1.5?

Thanks,
Eric
