Fortunately my bank card went to bat for me. They were able to draw money against Light Impressions .... and my money was refunded. Never, NEVER will I do business with Light Impressions again.

I'm glad it finally worked out for you, as it did for me, but with a credit card.

I had a similar experience last year. They charged my credit card immediately, then backordered over $100 of stuff indefinitely. For three months I went back and forth by phone and e-mail, but no refund ever happened. Finally went to Discover and they refunded me the money. Now I want something else that I can't find anywhere, and I'm afraid to try again. Does anyone know where to get the stackable metal slide storage center? I can't find a manufacture on the ones I have, and really want a couple more. Or is anyone getting rid of theirs?

I can concur with all the bad experiences.  After three months and $350 outstanding and many calls to customer service, my credit card company got involved and I got a refund in days - direct to the card, which their customer service "reps" insisted was impossible.  I would not order from them again under any circumstance I can think of.

Just a note on contacting your credit card company about Light Impressions.  According to my Wells Fargo VISA, you must contact them w/in 120 days of the charge.  I was too patient w/ Light Impressions and their "back order" and "check is in the mail" routine, so I'm out $70.  Moral of the story: contact your credit card company now.

That's because Wells Fargo are well-known dicks.  Citibank ran a chargeback well after 120 days of my LR charge.  Of course, Citibank are dicks too, just not as bad as Wells.

I've used Light Impressions for years for most of my framing materials because of their products and great, and personalized, service.  This is distressing.  Another very good company to use is Conservation Resources.  I have been buying my negative storage envelopes there forever because they have some unique products such as 4x5 envelopes with a 1/4 inch tab at the top.  Good people to deal with.
