I am using sleeveless pages for a new portfolio, printing on EOPSON's new Hot Press Bright White 13x19".
The pages will go into a bound portfolio that will get handled frequently, so I am actually more worried about wear and tear, especially image scratches, than UV fading ...

Question: do protection sprays (e.g. Hahnemuhle or Moab) protect from scratches at all, or are they just UV shields?
It sounds like the UV shield will take away from the paper's brightener effects, so unless there is a protective advantage, I may just go for "naked" pages ...

Hahn spray protects against gentle abrasion such as dusting.

If you mean it reduces the effect of optical brighteners in the paper... yes.
