style choices for mounting polaroid transfers
« on: April 23, 2011, 04:13:42 pm »

Hi everyone, I hope this isn't too far off topic. I did a small series of images styled like polaroid transfers that were never intended for much BUT now it's come up that enlargements are desired. No Problem, I've done a test print of one that's something like 24x30" and it printed beautifully on Optica One. My question is this: I'm just not sure how to best present the finished piece. I'm fairly set against canvas, but can't decide whether I should just do a slim line frame and no mat, or white/black mat (the image is a very warm bw). I'm leaning toward a standout mounting. When I look online I mostly see examples of transfer images but not their final presentation. Do you have an opinion on how the "old school" look of these presents best on a wall at a bigger size?
thanks for any suggestions.
