5d mk2 date/time

Hello  Recently every time I turn on canon 5d mk2 it is asking to set the date/time. Any idea why?  This occurs with both the standard battery and the power adaptor Thanks

It may be a problem with the date/time battery, though that should last 5 years. You'll have to look in the manual, as I don't own a 5D mk2
