I'm back from Monterey where I had a lot of fun shooting. Some more issues to report for others that may be considering this area.
- Highway 1 is still closed about 12 miles south of Monterey just before the Bixby bridge. I believe it will open some time in May, about a month longer than originally thought.
- Point Lobos state reserve is only open from 8am to 7pm so no sunrise/sunset shots. Apparently lack of funds for staff to man the gates. I was informed that if I walked in after hours I could be cited by a ranger.
- Access to China cove is also closed for road and other construction which I was told would take about 8-10 months to complete. So check first if you're planning on going there.
