You picked the wrong season.  There's isn't much landscape (nature wise) to shoot for this time of the year. Come back summer or better yet autumn. And even then, landscape is not on the same par as other places.

Joe Bob says 'check it out': David Fokos...somewhere in the vineyard for the most part... It breathes..albeit shot with an 8x10.

As long as you are there, eat a lot of lobster!  Buy it at the fish market, not the tourist palces, poil or steam it yourself, and live it up.  It has been a few years, but last r=time I was there I got 10 pounds for about $35.

I find the beaches quite beautiful at this time of year, without all the tourists cluttering them up. My favorite winter spot is Plum Island on the North Shore, but many places on Cape Cod are also good now, especially in the Cape Cod National Seashore and Wellfleet Bay Mass. Audubon Sanctuary. Just don't expect a lot of color. This time of year landscapes tend to be moody rather than pretty.

Anything along the coast in winter is fascinating. If you can, get to Nantucket or Martha's Vinyard. Or, head north up to Portland, Maine.

While the Cape is normally pretty dreary in winter, it's downright pretty in the snow. If you can time a drive out there for during a good snowfall, you'll be rewarded. The south shore is a bit quieter (though, really, the whole cape is quiet this time of year), but the north shore will be a little better protected from the elements.

One problem: a good percentage of the shore points are private property. But some of the lighthouses have public access, and then there are the dunes out near Provincetown. Also, Sandwich has a nice catwalk over some marshes; that's a nice area to shoot in the snow, too.

Have a great trip.
