HDR Intervention
« on: January 20, 2011, 07:27:49 am »

Thanks to Christopher Schneiter for this article. I, too, have been playing with Photomatix and getting mixed results. However, yesterday I discovered there is a new version of Photomatix (4.0) which works in 64-bit or 32-bit. There are numerous improvements in the interface also. I especially like importing a single bw image and tone-mapping for more texture and detail without blowing out anything. And doing more fine tuning in PS as Christopher has detailed. I really am having more fun with photography with these tools. I also downloaded a trial version of HDR Darkroom and found it very good also. But I've already purchased Photomatix and I don't need two HDR programs. Some may find HDR Darkroom to be more to their liking - it's interesting to try them both.
