This is an amazing collection of before and during photographs of the inundation of water in the Brisbane area last week. Flood images

and here a little clip on Queensland flooding

75% of Queensland has been declared a disaster area and been affected by recent flooding. In a valley west of Brisbane 20 lives have been lost and 12 are still missing as a result of the terrifying 'inland tsunami'. The grief in small communities is palpable as they return to their homes to rebuild thier lives with such horrifying memories and tremendous loss.

Tens of thousands of volunteers have supported their fellow man, by arming themselves with mops and buckets and shovels and so many are donating their time, money and machinery to help others whose homes and businesses have been destroyed by the floods. The sense of community support has been remarkable, and courage, compassion and love shown by others is humbling.

Scary stuff Julie and thanks for sharing. A lot of parts here are also flooded but certainly not as severe as Queensland.

Julie, I know it's a cliche to say it's heartbreaking, but that's exactly what it is. I'm sure some of the Australian pilots I knew in the early sixties at Ubon are in the flooded areas, and my heart goes out to them and to their neighbors. May God be with you all.
