Been following this for a while. Hopefully the last frame of the employees will be available... online.

As far as I was concerned, it died when Kodak stopped processing the slides. I still miss K25, and to some extent, K64. That's all I shot for many years.

I hope so. This is a sad moment.

Yes, Kodachrome 64 Pro was the best for me: travelled well, little latent image failure over time (if any) and, if one was lucky, great processing. The best, in the sense of cleanest, that I found was in Lausanne, Switzerland and the worst in Madrid.

Supported my career for many years - thanks!

To be totally honest, though I loved Kodachrome and it makes lovely b/w conversions in PS, I think that the colours I get from the digi Nikons are superior. However, there was little wrong with Ektachrome 64 either, just as long as you could get it processed quickly and properly.

Kodachrome 25 was my favourite film of all time.  However, shooting the film putting in the little envelope and mailing it off, waiting, waiting... then reviewing the images when it came back in the mail is very different from digital work and Lightroom.  Don't think I'd give up my digital camera now.

I enjoyed K25 until I tried Fuji RFP, then I never looked back. What's even sadder is Kodak Incorporated. I think George Eastman might be rolling in his grave.

Now we have Dalsachrome

I'm still using "Kodachrome" because my camera's sensor was made by Kodak ;D  Love the color, detail, dynamic range, & "grain".  Lots of fond memories but I don't miss the film version at all.
