I've been noticing this on my Epson Exhibition Fiber 13x19 sheets. Epson 3800. There are tin white lines in the dark areas of one side of my prints.
They go in the direction of the print head and do not occur on the 8.5x11. IT seems to be taking place towards the middle left of the printer, as far as
the area that shows this. Everywhere else on the print is fine, Right edge is fine. I've tried all the platen gap settings(usually use Wide), Paper thickness 5. IT almost looks like thousands of little head strikes embedded within the printing, almost adding a whitish haze to the edge of the print, again only in the darker areas. If this was a nozzle wouldn't it be all over the print rather than the left edge? I'm about to try a 17x22 to see if this comes up. I just feel it may be a paper curling thing.
I've had a hell of a time dealing with paper curl and lines forming paper direction wise from hitting something. I've been contemplating using a more rag paper to help with any curl and obstruction issues. Canson Platine is on my list to try. I've had the best of luck with EEF so far but never have been fully resolved with just basic paper printing issues, Gold fiber silk being the worst, lines(scratches) but this is completely different. I guess you could call them micro white lines going all throughout the darer parts of the leftish side.
