At first I didn't like this image, but it grows on one. Very unique approach.
It's very dark and broody. It is possible that in your effort to create the silhouettes in the image that some of your shadow detail was sacrificed.
There's an interesting use of diagonals - one set upside down in the tripod. The figure of the man balances the weight of the water on the left side.
Overall, I'd think about raising luminance just a little bit, and see if that works as well.
