which combination for best results DSLR Leaf Back Large Format
« on: September 21, 2010, 11:03:56 pm »

Hi All

I am starting to shoot a lot of watches and jewellery with a leaf Aptus 65 on a Mamiya 645FADII or RZ67 body.

I want to incorporate movements with my set up for(obviously) not a great deal of outlay. I also have a Cambo Ultima D large format camera which I hope I can use with the Leaf or maybe with my Canon 5D mark II.
Does any one have experience with either set up for the kind of stuff I shoot?
What are the relative merits for each combination?

I have done research but now have a headache from the various posts I have read so any contributions gratefully recieved.
Many thanks in advance for your help and expertise
Mark

are the movements to increase depth of field?  Many now do this with multiple captures and software like Helicon Focus.

You can't go too far wrong with the Macro 140mm RZ lens and a copy of Helicon Focus as Wayne previously mentioned.
Alternatively, just get the Cambo adaptor plate for the Mamiya fit Leaf A65 and you're ready to rock and roll.

If you want to use the cambo, I'd say get the 120mm/f5.6 Macro Digitar

Be careful with the aperture and do not step down too much, you can easily loose a lot of sharpness, especially in macro.
