Anormally cheap on-line store
« on: June 28, 2010, 06:21:56 am »

Hi,

I found this on-line store: http://bguoe.com/productlist.asp?pid=10380000

There are many interesting products. This store has really anormal cheap prices. Check by yourself.

I wonder about the seriousness and what's behind the scene as we know that miracles
are the domain of the divine.

Does anybody have heard about them?

A quick search on Google: http://fraudbaster.blogspot.com/2010/01/at...om-is-scam.html

It does not bode well but with such low prices (ex: Nikon 14-24 f/2.8 @ €450 or Canon 1Ds Mark 3 @ €999), one shouldn't expect them to be serious.

Thanks for that link François.

I imagined such a thing.

I think it is good that we are all warned and not falling in the trap because they seem to send ad to photographers.

There are a number of these scam sites offering good prices. They take the money, string you along and takes ages to refund presumably using the money to make more for themselves in the intervening period.

We live in a dangerous world and scammers are everywhere… When looking for bargain prices, we should be very cautious.

Edit: along the sames lines, check out Brooklyn camera shops storefronts (you'll see their ads in many places/mags): http://donwiss.com/pictures/brooklynstores/
