Is Jeff wearing makeup? (and no leary shirt, at least at the start).

Makeup!?!

Look out! Duck!

I don't think so... but after four days in that shirt, I tried not to get too close

I don't need to stinkin' makeup...

(well, ok, by the third day of taping we ALL needed makeup and our shirts were kinda, well, odiferous)

You just look, ummm, smoother than normal and your beard is trimmed.

To back up what Michael said, not only the best shirt of any of the tutorials, but the best look all around.

Regards,

Peter

It's the soft-focus filter that Chris used on all of Jeff's close ups.

Mikey liked it....

Separate from the content, which I expect to be Great, as usual, I have had a very improved and positive experience doing the downloading.

In the past, during the time to down load one segment, the LL account would time out and I would have to login again for each segment.  This time I am on the 4th one without having to re-login.

THANK YOU!!!

Michael, Jeff and Chris just wanted to say great job on the LR3 video.
Have already viewed the first 7 and looking forward to the rest of the tutorial.
The only thing I missed out on was the additional 10% discount as I purchased before you posted an update in "What's New".
Also I noticed down loading was much smoother then in the past.
Again great job guys!

Hi there,

I agree: Great fun so far...looking forward to the rest of the tutorial!

Just one minor thing: videos 1 and 6 don't start at the beginning, my QT allways jumps to 2:16 in the first video and 3:45 in the second. No big deal but I thought I'd let you know as noone else has mentioned it so far...

Greetings from Germany
Harald

I noticed the same thing when I started watching the videos.  Once I caught on what was happening I just dragged the slider back to the beginning. So it was no big deal.

Chris,

I have enjoyed the first ten videos of the new "Guide to Lightroom 3".
Just wondering what is the time frame for the entire video collection to be completed?
Or do you just plan to release sections of it each week until it is completed?

Thanks!

I am often asked to do a reel of out-takes from our productions and as often, I demur.

But this was too good to pass up.

Michael's old gallery in Toronto was not the quietest place to be recording for four days. Something was going on on the floor above:

Actually, when Chris sent the vid clip to me, I initially thought it was a stomach rumbling (mine or Mike's)...but thankfully, it wasn't.

I'm pretty sure the people up stairs were actually dismembering bodies and making sausage...at least that's what it sounded like to me. Oh, except for when the woman kept turing up her stereo with jazz, which in itself wasn't bad, but kinda sucks when the mics picked it up.

That and the trucks going by...course it wasn't quite as bad as last time with the TV crew outside running a huge genny for power...it simply amazes me that in the end, the audio doesn't seem nearly as bad on Chris's final edit as it does when we are shooting...but of course, Chris has to do a ton of post to clean up the audio...as best he can (which is pretty darn good).

As for the outtakes...if it weren't so darn hard to edit stuff like that, I would LOVE to see some of the better "moments" Mike and Chris and I have had...but go even further and imagine all he outtakes from all the Video Journals Mike and Chris have done. (I know there are classics from the 3 Antarctic trips)

Too little time...too many fun things to do–sadly, you can't do them all.

(although the crossing the Antarctic Circle vid is priceless)

:~)

I'll bet you could sell quite a few copies of a video of "LuLa's Top Twenty Outtakes."
