Saw these on Daily Planet today.  Not yet in production so far as I know, but designed by a Columbia University professor and tested and tweaked by his son.  It's a camera that kids can build, and they learn about engineering and physics in the process.  It has three shooting modes, including panorama and 3D.  It was tested in NY, India, Vietnam and Japan, and some of the images are available on the website.  Some of these kids have a really good eye!  And they invite you into their world by sharing their images.

Very cool. I'm going to look into this for my daughter's Montessori school.
