True ISO

the Zacuto shootout videos have been fascinating even if you don' shoot video. i was surprised to find that the "True" ISOs for Canon and Nikon were the same - coincidence- conspiriacy- phyiscs?.  Seems like the obvious default would be to "True" ISOs for simplifiaction which it isn't.  How much am i losing at ISO 200 vs 160 (or 1600 vs 1250)?
