It seems like different cameras have different settings available in "RAW Tuning" in A3.
For my 5D I have the following 3 (all sliders) at the bottom of the RAW Tuning brick.
Moire
Radius
Auto-Noise
In A2 I had Moire, Radius (sliders), and "Auto Noise Compensation" (checkbox)
I agree A3 does a much better job. I have found the following can help with Chroma Noise though..
Moire claims it reduces high frequency color information.. it does not specify whether that means sensor/image noise, or just moire in fabrics, etc.. Radius controls the frequencies that are considered.
I have found if you increase the Moire control considerably, and decrease the radius down near 1-2, you can change the handling of Chroma Noise and sometimes get an improvement.
