Input Sharpening After Converted to PSD

I have a number of images from my digital slr that have had no capture sharpening.  I usually finish my post processing in Photoshop so now these images are in PSD format.  Is it OK to now go back to them in lightroom to do the capture sharpening in the develop mode even though these files are now PSD's?

You can re-render them with capture sharpening on assuming you’ve done on other work in Photoshop. Otherwise, the new PSD’s will be as they were initially after rendering but with the capture sharpening applied. You’d lose any and all Photoshop work of course.

Thank you for the reply.  Yes it is not the most ideal situation.  It sounds like it can be done as long as I don't plan to print from photoshop.

Then just implement the capture sharpening in Photoshop and move on.

You can in theory, apply capture sharpening in Photoshop and then print that PSD in Lightroom. Ideally output sharpening is based on the capture sharpening so doing both in LR is a bit easier than doing one bit in Photoshop and one bit in LR but its doable. What you don’t want to do is apply capture or output sharpening twice in both places (or no sharpening at all).
