C1 DNG file display wired
« on: February 14, 2010, 12:04:28 pm »

Hi,

I woke up this morming with a surprise when opening Capture One:
My DNG files have all a strong magenta dominance in the blue and green in the reds      without having touched anything yesterday.
It's very funny for carnival...
I checked in ACR and the dng are all fine,
tried to understand the problem but can't find any solution. Jpegs files copies are fine.
My version is 4.5.1,
I run it on Windows.

Any advice?

Thank you,

Fred.

1) check your proof profile (under view) settings in Capture One
2) reprofile your monitor in case your monitor's profile has become corrupted (I HAVE seen this happen where some programs are able to read the corrupted profile correctly and others not - so the fact it shows correctly in ACR is not evidence to the contrary)
3) update to the much more recent 4.8.3 (for free) or 5.0.2 (paid upgrade with additional features)

Capture One went through some growing pains in version 4 and didn't hit it's stride until around 4.7. Ever since then it's been glorious.

I just tried using DNG (my first attempt). My CR2 files look fine in C1 5.0.2 but the DNG's look "posterized".  Is this normal?
