Need new raw developer for Leaf files
« on: February 01, 2010, 01:24:42 pm »

Hello .. sorry for brief post but faced with a deadline and need a raw converter which has a good selective moire reduction tool similar to Leaf capture and also a selective saturation control similar to Adobe ACR.  I have shots of an auditorium with LED lights shining on a wire mesh .. nightmare!  Capture is by Leaf Aptus 75.
Would anyone recommend something I could download/buy easily?

Kind regards

Ros

Hmm not much out there?

What we are doing is applying the moire reduction in Leaf capture ... saving and then running the mos files through adobe ACR... taking a bit if time but it seems to be the only way at present.

When I used to shoot with the Kodak SLR/n moire was a big problem for me. I found the quickest but quite crude way to rid me of the blight from many images, was to select the area roughly in Photoshop then desaturate. I tended to only get it in areas of little or no colour. It felt a bit like spotting a print with Tipex but worked better than it had any right to. It looked better than vomit like effect of moire anyway.
