future for canon powershots?

[font color=\'#000000\']Hey all, recently I went to buy the canon Powershot A80, and in the shop they said that they have just got word that it has been discontinued (Australia). Just wondering if anyone knows if this is going to be replaced.....or am I out of luck?[/font]
