New Photoshop CS4 Sharpening Panel
« on: September 30, 2009, 12:15:58 am »

The TLR Pro USM panel is a brand new CS4 panel. It doesn't wrap actions or Javascripts. Instead, it offers a more powerful version of the Photoshop CS4 USM command with the abiloity to adjust layer blend, layer opacity, and Blend Ifs. Add a layer mask, and you can preview the total sharpening effect with just one click.

The panel works with CS4 only. It relies on two two emerging technologies from Adobe Labs that are CS4-dependent. In fact, part of the development was working around features of the Panel SDK and PatchPanels that don't quite work as advertised.

The other cool feature of this sharpening panel is support for presets. You can make adjustments that are tuned for your digital camera or scanner and save the presets.

This is a free tool. You can use it for pesonal use or commercial use. I just hope it's a helpful tool for the digital photography community.
