Get regular or non-glare screen on MacBook Pro?
« on: September 26, 2009, 01:05:36 pm »

Help an old guy out.  I've seen both at the Apple store and while I like the anti-glare screen, I wonder about the Matte finish for photography?

Thanks in advance.

I got the regular screen two months ago because in the size I wanted that's all they offered. (thanks apple)  There are posts talking about how people like the regular screens and how they aren't that bad, etc.  I can assure you after using this screen for two months there is no question in my mind get the anti-glare matte screen.  If you will be using the laptop anywhere but a cave the regular screen is the most annoying, gawd-awful excuse for a piece of equipment labeled for the professional. It can give you a headache every lighting fixture behind you bouncing around as you try and evaluate the image file.  I have absolutely no idea how anyone who has taken the laptop home from the store and used it for a week can give the super-gloss regular screen anything but horrible reviews.
