I just got a new computer and decided it would be a good time to do some housekeeping on my old files. My LR catalog spanned several disks on my old machine and in order to use the DAM capabilities of LR and larger drive of my new machine I decided to start again.
Think I made a mistake though. I deleted my old catalog, made a new one and re-imported all of my files. I forgot that LR has default values on Import - modest sharpening for one. I don't want t change any settings or values because this is all finished work, an assortment of DNG,TIFF and PSD files. I'm thinking of going into Develop mode, zero out all of the setings and then synching across all of the files.
Here's the question - will I just reverse any changes that were created on my re-import, or will I affect the settings that were already associated and saved into the XMP's prior to my re-import - ie, right back to the original settings of my RAW's? Thanks.
