Conversion of Canon G10 to infrared
« on: June 21, 2009, 12:19:19 pm »

I'm considering purchasing the Canon G10 and having it professionally converted to infrared specifically for use in black and white.  Has anyone got photographs from a G10-infrared, or any experience to offer on this subject?  All comments would be most welcome.

John, I strongly discourage you to try to modify compact cameras as the sensor is very small when you compare it to a DSLR one.

As far as I know, you must have access to a white room and/or work in a very clean environment !

More, you will have to obtain the very small filter and be very precise for the replacement !!

It's certainly not impossible, but you must be sure of what you do.

Have a Nice Day.
