Apparently some problem with lines in the image.   Selected serial numbers might be affected.

I have a serial number with ***80 and normally there is a problem but I have not noticed it,  I don't use very often that camera

Same situation for me, haven't seen the problem with my G10 after perhaps 500 shots since purchase in December.

Me too. xxx80 and no problems (yet). So I'm wondering if I should bother sending it in.

I had a phone call with the service in Germany about it and they said no to worry, if there is a problem some day we have 5 years to send it and get it repaired for free

I'm in the same situation-I have a G10 with a serial number in the affected range but I haven't seen any problem.  It would be helpful if Canon would provide a bit more info on the problem.  Is the problem one that can develop over time or is it seen only when certain settings are used?  Or is it simply the case that many users with the specified serial numbers have nothing to worry about?
