Inkjet sign media info needed
« on: April 08, 2009, 08:34:17 pm »

Looking for a low cost cloth like sign/banner media that can be printed on with an Epson 7900.

Had a customer who promotes their business at trade/consumer shows. Up till
now we have been printing their banners on low grade photo paper mounted
onto foam core.
No problem, except they wished their signs were not so fragile and easily damaged.

They also mentioned an adjacent booth that had their banners printed on an inexpensive,
"cloth like" material that they were able to roll up, put in a tube and easily packed away.

Can anyone recommend a media/supplier that sounds close to what I've described?

Thank you - Paul Eby

Hey Paul,

There are several options out there..however they are not inexpensive since they need to be compatible with your inkset.
Most Trade show graphics and signage graphics are done on Solvent or UV printers.

We sell one that isnt on my website that is marketed as flag material actually its Polester or what some would call silk LOL..

Intelicoat makes one called FAB Tec and than there are some others not many options.. If you would like to call me do so I may be able to point you in the right direction..

Cheers

I have had good success printing on Lexjet Water-Resistant Satin Cloth with my Z3100.  Colors won't be a dramatic as on paper, but good enough for a custom banner or table skirt.
