NEC Spectraview Reference 21

NEC Spectraview Reference 21 is it really good as it should be (because of the price)?

I could buy this NEC Spectraview Reference 21 second-hand but like new for 3000$
or (same price) new Eizo CG211, or (even cheaper) new NEC SpectraView 2190.

Is led technology absolutely better tha IPS panel technology?

Price for new NEC Spectraview Reference 21 is 8000$, so,
it should really be a lot better than any other new monitor for 3000$,
but I'd like some suggestion and opinion before resolving to spend all this money.

I work with both screens (NEC SpectraView 2190 and the Eizo CG211). Both are very very good and actually quite the same. The panel is exactly the same and the differences are in image processing. My advice to you is to get the one that comes with its own calibration software, as both screens can utilize look up tables in hardware (you'll need eyeone to do that). My personal preference is the NEC, I just like it.

I'd like to point out that both screens are the absolute top end of sRGB screens, and I think every photographer should have one. In fact, I happen to know that a few players in the camera making business are using these screens for development (along with the lacie 321).

The Spectraview Reference 21 will really pay off if you do a lot of printing, it will be easier to proof on screen. Note that you'll have to profile your printer to proof properly.

I'm going to get NEC Spectraview Reference 21.
3000$ (instead of 8000$) is a special offer for a new one (no second-hand).

I've not found any "private" review or suggestion about
this NEC SV Reference 21, because of the price (I believe).
But it SHOULD be better.

What's more, it's difficult to make a comparaison between
IPS and LED panel technology, beacause just a really
few and expensive monitors are Led technology, and 90% are IPS or PVA.

I print in a laboratory, I do not print by myself, I've not a printer,
and my print laboratory has exactly the same monitor and profiling hardware.

I'm going to get also XRite i1display2 for profiling.
Somebody says that profiling with this NEC
is more accurate than profiling with Eizo.
NEC profiling takes half an hour, Eizo is really faster.
