I compared the prices of the new Mac 17" laptop and the UK price is almost the same as the American price.
Is this a first?

At Penn Camera, they cover DC, MD & VA their prices are as follows -

D700 [body only] $2,699.99 - includes $300 rebate
5D MK II [body only] $2,699.99 marked "Out of Stock
5D MK II with 24 - 105 lens - $2,999.99
A900 [body only] $2,999.99

For me, the prices are close to B&H and they have a store about 3 miles from where I live.
