Bob...

Call Joe at Really Right Stuff and talk to him about the A-2.  They seem very willing to accommodate their customers. I'm sure that if they don't have a custom bracket in the design stage, he can give you recommendations on what else might work.

Take care,

Bill

Try Wimberley. The have some generic plates that fit snugly and won't rotate. They have a trial program that lets you test their equipment before you buy.

You might also check with Acratech to see if one of their generic plates would work.

OK, so now I ordered one of these little A2s. I have an Acratech ball head with an Arca Swiss type mount. Anybody have any suggestions on what type of mounting plate to use?

I'd love an L bracket, but I'm guessing one of these will never see the light of day.

Well, I just got an email response from them - no dice (and no plans for dice). Any other ideas, folks?

The Wimberly looks like it would serve the purpose, I assume the stops are removable since my clamp doesn't have the groves to accomodate the stops.

I think the Wimberly looks like it should do it. I'm going to call them Monday.

Thanks everyone!
