Well I know it can get ungly with fabrics, but sometimes there is no easy way aroud it. Say that I have been very lucky with fredmiranda's moire reducer v1.8 action plug in and also Phase One's moire suppression tool (Mac only though). Otherwise... photoshop nightmare

It's weird because I went ahead and printed it and there was no pattern in it at all. It showed on my screen at all sizes, but not in the print.

Oh yes that happens as well, because the problem is resolution related no matter if you see it on screen or on a print. There will be hi resolutions (ie monitors) that sometimes enhance the effect but if you low down res (often in prints), the effect goes away. I thought it was present on your prints at first place. When I do clothes catalogue work and I find suspicious images, then I will print proofs, through a proper CMYK proofer and RIP, on the exact final size and then I can be sure if any problems will appear if the work goes to press... Its all resolution depended when detailed patterns are smaller than your pixels in a sence. So they can either disappear when you dramatically increase res or when you dramatically decrease res where the pattern becomes blured in a way. Those silk fabrics can be a real pain sometimes, so I might try persuate my client to print a bit smaller or larger.

If you notice it while shooting just change your focal length or distance from subject ( closer or farther trial and error ) it works pretty well for me rather than using moire filters afterwards which muddy things up. Sometimes there is no escape and then the filters can help bail you out
