Anyone tried the in-camera combining of raw shots yet? Just reading my manual. I don't quite get the Nikon exposure process for taking one for the shadows, one for the highlights . It does a gain adjustment which, on the surface adjusts for the difference between the two shots and mitigates the combining of one for the shadows, one for the highlights.
I'm still working through it.
Ok, I now see where gain can be turned off.
Would the base exposure be for the highlights or shadows then. And the offset be a + or - exposure.
