I just bought an Imac 24" for home use and I have vista32 on it because I have a pc in the studio and don't want to mess with external HD between OS. I have a nec with spectraview and optixxr in the studio and my idea is to reuse optix to profile the imac. Now the problem is the mac doesn't have controlls on the screen to change brightness etc. I made a quick look and found that I could:
A ) Use usual monaco software.
B ) Use basiccolor; on the web they say (if I understad correctly)
http://www.apple.com/de/pro/profiles/spiegel/index3.html that the software controls automatically the luminance. I can't find if this is the same for old versions or a new feature.
C ) Coloreyes. They also state on the homepage that the software controls apple displays, I don't know if this is also true for the new pc version.
Of course option a) is the cheapest one, but, as other people have described a lot of problems to put down the amount of light maybe I should consider b and c.
Any opinion? Thanks in advanced.
