LR 2.0 printing bug?
« on: September 10, 2008, 03:37:28 pm »

I usually print to the ColorBurst X-Photo RIP by simply dropping tif files (exported form LR 2.0 or CS3) from the desktop into the RIP.  Recently I tried printing to the CB RIP directly from LR 2.0 (this worked fine earlier with 1.4x) and noticed that printing in this manner now yields prints with blown highlights, compressed midtones, and dark shadows.  This is reminiscent of the problems that were present in LR 1.0 and subsequently corrected in 1.41.  I specified printer color management in LR 2, but LR is apparently still doing some file transformations before exporting the postscript file to the RIP.  Using an intel Mac OS 10.5.4 and printing to the latest version of the ColorBurst X-Photo RIP on an Epson 4000.
