I've spent the last week running backwards at the Republican National Convention, and intricate shooting situations would be greatly eased with an articulating LCD. In moving crowd scenes, it often looked like the media were giving the marchers a fascist salute -- but it's just that they had their cameras overhead because that's the only way photographers could shoot anything, and then, they couldn't see what they were shooting; it's a complete Hail Mary.
There's a serious need for smaller, lighter, pro lenses -- If Nikon (I use as an example because I shoot Nikon) could replicate their 14-24, 24-70 and 70-200 F2.8 in a set of f4 lenses, I suspect journalists would be forever grateful. A useable 6400 makes the f2.8 less necessary, and in many journalistic situations, you don't want the f2.8's wide-open shallow depth of field. (Yes, I agree it can be useful some times. But those times, a small even faster prime will usually handle the situation even better.)
