Battery pack for EOS 5D
« on: July 31, 2008, 09:42:00 am »

Hi,

As I plan to go to bolivia in few weeks (almost in south Lipez where it's very cold), I'm looking for a solution to protect my batteries from minus temperatures (around -15°C at night).
Is there a solution like the image below ?

It would be the perfect solution as I can keep warm my batteries in my bag or my jacket. But does it exist for 5D ? May be other solution ?

Thanks for your help.
regards

Since the 5D's batteries are so small and relatively inexpensive, why not just buy one or two spares and keep them in an inside pocket. Swap them with a cold battery in the camera when needed.

No cable and other issues to worry about.

Yes, it could be a solution for a short moment, as long as the batteries are not getting cold. But for a 5 days trip without electricity and very cold temperatures, I'm looking for a better solution. Otherwise, I'll take 2 or 3 spares with me.

sorry for my poor english
